![]() ![]() I haven't even considered buying a PC because my Mac setup is far too stable and runs without any problems. I don't even miss my old MacPro slaves which had a lot of RAM but also had a power consumption I could run an electric car on. MacBook and Mac Studio can run with VEP and so I won't have any problems with too little RAM for a long time. ![]() In fact, I don't think I'll need a new generation until the M1 is no longer supported, and I expect it will be a while yet. I actually don't miss the old plugins at all. Transferring Time Machine backups was no problem, no problems with drivers, only a few non-native programs had to go since everything runs AS native. ![]() My power consumption has dropped significantly since I swapped Intel Mac Book and iMac for M1 MacBook and Mac Studio. Although I only have half as much RAM as before (even less when I think about my old MacPro slaves), I haven't missed anything or had any problems with insufficient memory. Since my Mac Studio (M1 max with 64 GB) replaced the 27" iMac (i9 with 128 GB), my workplace has been heavenly quiet. ![]()
